Cal Poly Observatory

Cal Poly Observatory Closed for summer. If you live in the San Luis Obispo area and enjoy looking at the night sky, we would love it if you would stop by!

We are located OUTDOORS between the D and E wings of the science building (Bldg 52). It is on the map (maps.calpoly.edu) under building number 52-B. The Cal Poly Observatory is open twice a week during the school year (excluding week 1, finals week, and breaks). Hours are set by quarter, and we will make a weather update 30 minutes before start time to let you know if we will be open or not. This

quarter (Fall 2017), the observatory will be open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:10-9 pm, weather permitting. This clear sky clock is a good way to predict ahead of time if we will be open, and what the conditions will be:
