Meet Lauren, one of our Hunger Fighter Champions! 💪Lauren is the second community member we’re featuring in our Hunger Fighter Champion series for Hunger Action Month.

🧡 Her way of fighting hunger is through advocacy, and she’s putting that passion into action as a graduate of our Voices for Change program.

Voices for Change is an advocacy-training program for community members with lived experience of hunger and for those passionate about food security along with those who are working professionals in the anti-poverty space.

Helping neighbors access food takes more than one moment, one donation or one organization. It takes people across our community working together.
This Hunger Action Month™, we're celebrating the collective impact made possible through Walmart and Sam's Club's Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign. Thanks to shoppers, associates, suppliers, food banks, and community partners, $88,155 was raised to support our neighbors here in Contra Costa and Solano Counties.

But that impact goes beyond campaign dollars.

These investments support the work that helps families in our community access food year-round. That means every donation helps power every food pickup, volunteer shift, and delivery, and supports the partnerships that connect neighbors with food through agencies like Walmart and Sam's Club, right here at home.

Together, we're creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

We are thankful to Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation for three generous grants totaling $15,000, which will go toward supporting our School Pantry Program. With this grant, we're able to provide nutritious food to help students and families thrive across Contra Costa and Solano Counties.
