Municipal Government - As a resident of Lower Pottsgrove for over 40 years, I obviously find it a wonderful place to live and raise a family.

All three of my children went through the Pottsgrove School District and graduated from Pottsgrove High.
- I retired from Lockheed Martin after 33 years, and have been involved locally since 2015 as the Democratic Committee-person for Lower Pottsgrove Ward, Precinct 4
- But I believe as a community and township, we need to be concerned with how our local tax $$$s are being spent. Over the years,

we have definitely been paying more but receiving fewer services. Are our tax dollars being spent most efficaciously? Are contracts awarded on a competitive basis? And, of course, the most salient issue is that of the $8.4 million proposed new township building.

'The PennLive report details some $367,107 in raises for the highest ranking members of the commission, including an $86,000 raise for CEO Mark Compton to bring his salary up to $348,118.'

'The raises were approved in a non-public, closed door meeting in March, and took funds from the same general stockpile used to fund public transportation, the report states.
Analysts and residents were not happy.'

"What a scam the PA turnpike is," March on Harrisburg, an advocacy group based in the state capitol, shared on X.
'The news comes as the Pennsylvania Turnpike continues to face ire from residents and lawmakers who say some of its practices and processes are unethical, and from critics of its price and its steep increases in toll rates. It currently costs around $100 to drive across the state without an E-ZPass.'

The raises come as the Turnpike plans to increase its tolls once again in 2026, on top of rates which critics already call "exorbitant."

I’ve had much success with fall planting!

Fall is the best time to plant, giving the roots a chance to grow before Spring leafing out.. So, fall native plant sales have begun! But at the Arboretum, you don't have to wait for the date. We're open sunrise to sunset daily with perennials, trees and shrubs. Young ones to grow with you!

Most perennials $4, trees and shrubs from $4 to $20.

Cash only. Come see!

Contact State Senator Tracy Pennycuick to fund mass transit. These cuts impact ALL of HER constituents, regardless of whether or not they use SEPTA.

Budget impasses affect all of us -- but most of all -- it is those who can least afford it:

⏰Increased borrowing by school districts, which may show up in future local budget hikes.
⏰Public library reductions in services or hours.
⏰Reduced public transportation service.

Enough of the games. We need the Republican-controlled Senate to pass a budget that is a fair compromise between the House version and Gov. Shapiro's budget. No one will get everything they want. Time is up.

Yes!

Yes!

The debate over funding SEPTA has led Chester County state Rep Melissa Shusterman to suggest a radical approach to PA tax distribution
