Sanford Springvale Call Firefighters
Firefighter’s Memorial


When: October 16, 2022
Where: Sanford High School
(at monument near Fire Science wing)
Time: Stage at 12:30 on Sanford Alumni Blvd.
The procession will start at 12:45. We will proceed to monument where the service will start around 13:00. Department vehicles and Color Guards are welcome.

If you want, or have a list of past members that have passed away, not necessarily in the line of duty. Each department will have the opportunity to read their list.

What to wear: A dress uniform. If you don’t have one, just wear your best work uniform with a cap and tie. It’s not the uniform that you’re wearing, it’s the respect shown to our fallen firefighters that counts!

We will be providing coffee and snacks after the service. We look forward to seeing you there!

So normally this weekend would have our 14th annual food drive at the local grocery stores. With COVID restrictions that was unable to happen so we are asking that you drop any non perishable foods or a monetary donation directly to the Sanford Food Pantry located at 1201 Main St. Sanford. Thank you in advance the need is very high this time of year.

With over 200 years of combined service we said goodbye to many retiring firefighters. There experience and knowledge will be truly missed by our community. Thank you to you all.
