This little girl’s story began around 4:00 in the morning, when she was first seen running along the old road in Castaic.

By 8:30 a.m., she was spotted across the freeway, trapped between K-rails and a chain-link fence that runs along the freeway.

Lorena searched the trail for almost six hours, walking every area she could think of. As nightfall came closer, hope started to fade.

Then Danielle saw the Facebook post and offered to come help. She arrived with her pup, Tipsy, and we decided it would be best for her to search in the opposite direction from where I had been walking.

That decision saved this little girl.

Danielle found her sleeping next to a tractor and immediately sent me a picture. I rushed over to set the trap. When I arrived, she was lying in the dirt, exhausted. Her eyes were so covered by matted fur that she didn’t even realize I was walking toward her until I was only a few feet away.

Then she ran.

We set the trap beside the tractor and placed a live camera to watch it. Within five minutes, she came back. She was scared and unsure, staying close to the trap but too afraid to go in.

Time was not on our side. She was stuck between the freeway and coyote territory, and we knew we had to act fast.

When she finally went in, I called Danielle and said, “We got her.”

She was safe.

But when we finally got a good look at her, our hearts broke.

This poor little girl was in horrible condition. Her fur was so severely matted that she could not move normally. A huge piece of wire was tangled deep throughout her coat. Some of it was so thick that we had to use bolt cutters to remove it.

Every time she tried to squat to p*e or p**p, she would jump up in pain because the wire was poking into her tummy area.

The wire was wrapped around her tail, pulling it down and tangling it into her hindquarters. She also had foxtails embedded in her skin and small pieces of wire scattered throughout her coat.

I am in tears writing this.

This kind of suffering does not happen overnight. This little girl endured terrible neglect for a long time.

She was scared, but she allowed us to cut away some of the wire. We stayed up until 2:00 a.m. trying to remove as much as we could.

The next day, the groomers from Scrubby Dubby Doo came to help. When they saw the condition she was in, they jumped right in. They worked with so much patience, love, and care to make her as comfortable as possible.

As they removed the mats, wire, and debris from her hindquarters, they were just as devastated as we were.

No chip. Not fixed. Neglected.

But she is safe now.

And from this moment forward, she will know love. ❤️

Be the first to see how we got Miss Molly the lil sh*tzu mix and how she looks all groomed.

See her wires that the amazing groomer “scrubby dubbie doo”, took out. They were poking into her lil private area and her tummy . It was holding her tail down and wrapped around her leg and had been there a while.

🛑 She needs to see a vet, she still has a few fox tails in her skin.
Her urine has a strong smell
Her 💩 was pinkish in color but now it’s normal.

Cost as urgent is 100.00 but we will see if we can get in as regular schedule. She will be going to Little paws in Canyon country. Plus anything else she may need.

We bought her a comfy bed and a toy she can snuggle with, and getting science diet for her tummy. All these lil things add up.

Please donate to her taken care of.
