We are the Santa Cruz Mountain Goats and lead by Jason Fouts (Chief Mountain Goat) and Robert Duffner (Deputy Chief Mountain Goat). We hike every Sunday usually starting between 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The areas we hike include the Bay Area, Santa Cruz Mountains, and the Central Coast (Monterey, Pinnacles, Carmel Valley, and Big Sur). Yes, the hit the trails last Sunday. Our first attempt at Chalk Mountain, but found out it was still closed. We made the best of a beach day though!! Being witness to some of (very small compared to what actually burned) the damage caused by our recent fires is humbling. We're looking forward to watching our forests regrow!!
