Subjects to Change

Subjects to Change A group of chronic doodlers who dig music, embrace creativity of all kinds, are determined to improve Santa Cruz & get other teens involved along the way.

Subjects To Change is a Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History Program geared for teenagers who want to make a difference in Santa Cruz county by raising awareness of community issues through collaborative arts and cultural experiences. This program focuses on exploring what it means to be an active community member, how as a community member you can create change, and the tools necessary to ignite le

adership. Subjects to Change consists of approximately 15 students from across Santa Cruz county who meet at the MAH every Thursday afternoon to talk community, create stuff, and change---both themselves, as a group, and the community. Current S2C-ers represent 8 different schools across Santa Cruz:
Santa Cruz High
Harbor High
Costanoa High
Pacific Collegiate
Delta Charter High
AFE (Alternative Family Education)
Parjaro Valley High
Kirby School
Scotts Valley High
Cypress Charter High

Our meetings include team building exercises, occasional guest speakers from our community, offsite documentary work in the community to help pinpoint key issues in the community at large.
