Our officers also participated in the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics held in Albuquerque, alongside Clovis area Region IV Manager Isabel Lucero.

๐Ÿ“ธ Featured in the photos are Officers Sectrina Romero, Quinn Slade, Noemi Lopez, Carla East, Lydia Duarte, Amanda Gallegos, Chris Standley, Naomi Abeyta, Kevin Barreras, Rachel Martinez.

A ๐๐ˆ๐† thank you to all of our staff members who participated. We truly take great pride in our teamโ€™s ongoing commitment to community engagement! โค๏ธ

Itโ€™s hard to believe that it has already been one year since the level one Farm reopened at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas.

To celebrate the milestone, staff were treated to a special potluck lunch, including delicious brisket! ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

๐ŸŒพ The Farm sits on 1,010 acres of picturesque land and houses more than 300 minimum-restriction inmates. Every inmate who is housed at the Farm, is required to work and actively participate in reentry programming. Another neat aspect about the Farm, is that our Corrections Industries Division harvests alfalfa, which is then sold to the public.

Together, we are working to build stronger fathers for .

Fathers New Mexico recently celebrated the graduation of nine incarcerated fathers at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facilityโ€™s Level I Farm in Los Lunas. ๐Ÿ‘

These individuals successfully completed the intensive 12-week program, which aims to empower them to be positive influences when they release back into their communities.

As part of this program, the participants learned essential skills for rebuilding relationships with their children, co-parenting effectively, securing job placements, and accessing post-release local services.

A big thank you to our staff who make programs like this possible!

๐Ÿ’š In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we extend our gratitude to the dedicated behavioral health staff across New Mexico, and those serving within our department.

These professionals play a key role in our mission to achieve positive outcomes. โœจ

Mental health services are essential not only for incarcerated individuals and those on community supervision but ๐™–๐™ก๐™จ๐™ค for staff working in correctional and law enforcement environments. The challenges of their roles can significantly impact their well-being, making access to mental health resources important for both their effectiveness and overall health.

Recently, the Teri Carr, who is the supervisor of behavioral health services at the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility, organized a booth to offer valuable resources, information, and tokens of appreciation to facility staff. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Bottom line: You donโ€™t have to face challenges alone.

Whether youโ€™re feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to, trained New Mexico professionals are available to listen anytime, 24/7, free, and completely confidential.
