"Almost five years ago, those words that I used for my title this week were said to me by my Pastor, Brother Joe, of the Episcopal church. He was consoling me after my wife had died, and he was gently helping me along the path of grief. He later said I am sure those words right now may not give you comfort, but think about them as you travel along the path of grief. He was softly preparing me to start a journey that would prevent me initially from moving forward and would hold me as a hostage with darkness, sadness, and a surfeit of tears."

Widower Advocate Herb Knoll is pleased to introduce his ministry to all who discover this page. Also available is a private page exclusively for men. “Men can apply at “Widowers Support Network - Members Only.” Eligible men (straight or gay) include those who spouse or life-partner have passed away, have lost a significant relationship through an unwanted breakup or divorce, or whose wife or life-partner has contracted Alzheimer or dementia. Also invited to join this popular group are men who are serving as a caregiver for their seriously ill spouse or life-partner as well as good-hearted men who want to help comfort and assist other members. Those interested in joining can apply at “Widowers Support Network - Members Only” on Facebook.

WSN-MO is also interested in identifying subject-matter experts who would be interested in contributing to this page's content. Interested parties can write us at [email protected].
