Every once in a while, I go back through my text messages from Jackson. The first photo was from a conversation in August 2022, a particular challenging week for Jackson on base. (The second photo speaks for itself.)
Jackson always wanted to be there for people, support those who needed it most. He understood the trauma and loss experienced while in foster care. He also understood and appreciated the importance of family.
I believe with all my heart, this was (and IS) God’s perfect plan.
Jackson’s legacy is helping others with the greatest need.

**If you know of a youth aging out of foster care and needs support and encouragement, share Jackson’s story.

We are incredibly honored and grateful! ❤️🤍💙

This evening, Jackson’s Gift was humbled to be named one of the chosen nonprofit recipients of a grant through Sisterhood for Good.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sisterhood for Good for the incredible work they do to strengthen our community. As a women-owned and women-led nonprofit, they dedicate countless hours to raising funds and investing them back into local organizations that are making a difference. Their passion for giving, collaboration, and community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to be among this year’s recipients.

A very special thank you also goes to Grapevine Communications, whose designated grant will directly support the mission of Jackson’s Gift. Your generosity and belief in what we are building means more than words can express.

Because of your support, we are one step closer to honoring foster youth who choose the path of military service by providing them with a Jackson’s Gift as they begin their next chapter.

To everyone who supports Sisterhood for Good, Grapevine Communications, and nonprofits throughout our community—thank you for believing that together, we can make a difference.

With sincere gratitude,
Sarah Davis
Founder & President, Jackson’s Gift

Also a special thank you to Christine and Steve for attending this wonderful event tonight and speaking in my absence on behalf of Jackson’s Gift. I appreciate you more than you know. It takes a village!

If you are new to following Jackson’s Gift, Inc. Nonprofit, please take a moment to learn about our mission and help us find our first Jackson’s Gift Award recipient.
Jackson’s desire to advocate for youth aging out of foster care only intensified after he became a Marine. He wanted to be there for those who traveled a similar path as him and help them navigate joining the military, as many aging out choose this path.
He understood that teens aging out of foster care need someone in their corner, a family to write home to.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, let me encourage you to pause, and remember the gift of our freedom. Remembering those who sacrificed ALL for our safety and freedom. 🇺🇸
Memorial Day hits a little harder for our family these days. It reminds me to never take our loved ones for granted and to especially appreciate being an American.

It’s graduation season! 👨‍🎓
This picture was taken in May 2021. Just two months prior to this event, Jackson was officially adopted into our family. He was so proud to graduate with his forever family’s last name.
Then, just two months after this event, off he went to fulfill his dream of becoming a Marine. Two of Jackson’s goals had come to fruition. Another dream of his was to support youth in foster care and advocate for those aging out of the system.
Jackson’s life on this earth ended before he could see that happen.
Jackson’s Gift Nonprofit is here to fulfill Jackson’s dream of supporting foster youth. Help us keep his legacy alive.

For those in the foster care system, there are many things coming at them at once. Some have spent much of their childhood in the system. Jackson’s story is very similar to so many. He had a strong desire to give back to those in the foster system.
Help us keep his legacy alive. Support someone in in the trenches of foster care.
