Sometimes, success isn’t a number. It’s a phone call. ❤️
It’s a former resident calling just to say, “Hi.”
It’s a young person reaching out to ask for advice.
It’s hearing about their first job, their college plans, their accomplishments, or the future they are beginning to imagine for themselves.
That is the impact of what we do.
And because of the support of our donors, community partners, volunteers, and supporters, we are watching young people move forward.
🎓 2 residents currently in college
🎓 3 residents have graduated high school
💼 60% employment/job stability
🌱 95% advancement in life skills
But these statistics represent so much more than percentages.
They represent young people who are learning to believe in themselves.
Young people who are discovering that they can succeed.
Young people who have someone to call when life gets hard—or when life gets exciting.
💔 THERE IS A SIDE OF THIS WORK THAT IS HARD TO TALK ABOUT.
For the general public, it can be difficult to understand what a young person has experienced or to truly put yourself in their shoes.
Our youth are not in placement because of their own wrongdoing.
They have often come to us because of circumstances they did not choose.
They may have experienced physical, emotional, mental, or sexual abuse. They may have experienced neglect, instability, abandonment, or environments that never gave them the safety and nurturing every child deserves.
These are hard topics to talk about.
But they are important.
Because when a young person walks through our doors, they don't simply need a place to stay.
They need someone to understand what they have been through.
They need patience when trust doesn't come easily.
They need consistency when their world has been anything but consistent.
They need compassion when their trauma shows up as anger, fear, withdrawal, uncertainty, or difficulty making decisions.
And most importantly, they need to know that their past does not have to determine their future.
That is where we come in.
Our role is to become a sound, steady source of support as they work through the trauma they have experienced and begin learning that life can offer positive choices and opportunities.
We surround them with wraparound support, encouragement, life skills, education, employment guidance, healthy relationships, and people who genuinely believe in them.
We help them understand:
You are not what happened to you.
Your circumstances do not define your future.
You have choices.
You are worthy of a safe and successful life.
And sometimes, breaking the cycle starts with something as simple as having one safe person who doesn't give up.
🏠 WE BECAME THE “HOME” OUR MISSION WAS CREATED TO BE.
When a young person enters our program, we strive to give them something that can be difficult to find: a safe place, a nurturing environment, consistency, encouragement, and someone who believes in them.
And the most meaningful part?
The relationship doesn’t end when they leave.
Our former residents continue to call and text. They check in. They ask questions. They share their dreams. They make future plans. They tell us about their accomplishments.
They come back to the people and the place where they felt safe.
That is success. ❤️

You are helping a young person learn that their life can look different from what they have known.

We cannot erase what these young people have experienced.
But together, we can help them move through it, grow beyond it, and discover a future filled with positive possibilities and support.

You are investing in a young person’s future.
And maybe years from now, that same young person will pick up the phone and call us—not because they need something, but simply to say:
“I just wanted to tell you how I’m doing.”
