Michigan's 108th House District spans the central and eastern Upper Peninsula, encompassing Delta, Luce, Menominee, and Schoolcraft counties, plus parts of Chippewa and Mackinac counties. This vast region is defined by deep rural isolation, heavy timber and agricultural land, expansive shorelines, and tight-knit communities separated by vast stretches of wilderness.

It's a 500+ mile round trip for me each week to visit with those communities, and let me tell you, the more rural the better. That's where all the fun happens!

The farmers markets, VFWs, bear hunts, craft fairs, flavors, and family.

Rural is where you see the veterans and churches and schools and communities pull together to make it all happen. Urban areas could never.
