Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight at the Rotterdam Community Center for our Wandering Prevention & Response Workshop .
We brought families together with the Autism Society Greater Hudson Region, Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office and Service Dogs to share information about wandering prevention, safety planning, Project Lifesaver, service dogs and other resources that can help families be better prepared for an emergency.
I also shared information about my new legislation to create a New York State Take Me Home Program, giving families another voluntary tool to help first responders quickly access important information when every minute counts.
A special thank you to Tracy Schober and all of tonight’s presenters and organizations for sharing their knowledge and resources with families.
📞 If you couldn’t attend or would like additional information or resources, please contact my office at 518-382-2941. We’re here to help connect families with the resources they need.
