📦 Know Your PCS Weight Allowance Before You Move!

Did you know your household goods weight allowance is based on your rank and dependent status?

Understanding your authorized weight limit can help you:
✅ Avoid excess weight charges
✅ Plan your shipment more effectively
✅ Decide what to ship, store, sell, or donate

A few quick reminders:
🔹 Weight allowances apply to household goods only
🔹 Vehicles, pets, and consumable goods are not included
🔹 If you split shipments, your total authorized weight still applies
🔹 A good rule of thumb is about 1,500 pounds per room when estimating your shipment

Before your next PCS, review your entitlement and plan ahead for a smoother move.

Household goods shipments cannot transport liquids of any kind. Items like beverages, lotions, oils, perfumes, fuel, and cleaning products can leak during transit, damaging your belongings and delaying your shipment.

To help make pack-out day smoother:
