Wie had 2 clinics scheduled with Onesight that had to be postponed due to COVID. Hoping those happen this year. Onesight is an AMAZING organization.

We had the privilege of working with an AMAZING team from the Baboquivari Unified School District on the Tohono O'odham Nation, and another incredible team from One Sight. Words can not give justice to the work One Sight does. To fully comprehend you have to attend one of their clinics and see the work in progress.

Students from Tohono O'odham Nation, outside schools serving O'odham students, and students from the Pasqua Nation were seen. One Sight conducted 698 eye exams and out of the 698, 621 needed glasses! That is a 89% NEED rate. The team from One Sight ended the week of hard work by attending Miracle on Main Street event where they were honored by the Tohono O'odham Nation and were given Friendship Pottery from local artist, Mr. Angea.

A small but mighty OnSight Team joined with the Patterson Foundation to make the magic of free eye care happen in Arizona 👓 840 kiddos and their families received extensive eye care with 89% needing prescription glasses!!! We will continue the journey of helping to eradicate the lack of eye care in Arizona 2019!

The One Sight team is AMAZING!!! The doctors and staff are the most dedicated people I have ever seen. What a blessing it has been to work with them this week and bring the gift of sight to so many. They are passionate about what they do. After handing out glasses, and seeing the smiles on the faces of the children, I can totally understand why they do what they do!

I am so excited to partner with the Patterson Foundation and OneSight to bring the gift of sight to the Native Americans and surrounding school districts in Arizona! It is an honor to be the Clinic Coordinator for the August 2018 OneSight event and being able to share my passion to help eradicate the lack of vision care for those in need 👓 I have been volunteering for OneSight for the last 8 years and was in Rwanda last April helping to set up sustainable vision clinics. Here are some pictures from some of the clinics I have attended including Phoenix where I came into contact with the Patterson Foundation.
