It could have started with my first taste of strawberries straight from the vine…how lucky was I to discover one of my passions as a child, my memories include driving by roadside produce stands and flipping the car around to grab the last of the neighbor’s summer squash, running out to the garden to pick tomatoes for supper, snapping green beans on the porch and going inside to watch my mom stew or can them…our food isn’t intended to be mass produced or macro based “meal prep” style, it’s intended to reflect the love of a mother, home cooking, quality, passion…ingredients and love and intention.
Thank you for supporting Maddox Lane each week, I never wanted to “scale” and yet, staying afloat requires growth to survive. This growth thing is delicate and challenging (just like keeping a plant alive is for me ), we’re over here learning how to maintain our integrity in quality and ingredients while also nourishing our customers and sometimes we get it wrong and many times we get it right.
I’m grateful to the people who communicate, order, share feedback, and fertilize this small business with your orders. Thank you for continuing to believe in us.
New menu up for next week…link in bio.
