A pleasure to visit Shoreline Community College and meet with President Dr. Jack Kahn and his team Samira Pardanani, Colleen Ferguson, and Zara Eubanks.

Enjoyed exploring the campus and learning about Shoreline’s modern facilities, academic programs, and commitment to helping students succeed.

During our conversation, shared updates on Uzbekistan’s ongoing education reforms and the growing emphasis on expanding international academic cooperation.

We discussed promising opportunities to build partnerships with educational institutions in Uzbekistan, encourage student exchanges, and create more pathways for Uzbek students to study at Shoreline.

Thank you to Dr. Kahn and the team for the warm welcome and thoughtful discussion. Looking forward to continuing our dialogue and turning shared interests into practical opportunities for students and educators in both countries.

It was a pleasure to meet with Mercer Island, Washington, Councilmember Julie Hsieh for a warm and engaging conversation about strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and our communities in Washington State.

We exchanged views on opportunities for closer cooperation, building meaningful connections, and encouraging greater engagement between our people.

A special part of our discussion focused on cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. Culture has a unique ability to bring communities together, promote mutual understanding, and build lasting friendships. We discussed the importance of creating more opportunities for our communities to learn from one another, share traditions, and celebrate our cultural diversity.

🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸 “Matison International Export Import Company LLC” rahbari Kayl Matison bilan O‘zbekiston mahsulotlarini AQSh bozoriga olib chiqish imkoniyatlarini muhokama qildik.

Kompaniya O‘zbekistonda ishlab chiqarilayotgan qurilish materiallari, alyuminiy, qishloq xo‘jaligi va oziq-ovqat mahsulotlariga qiziqish bildirdi. Eksportga tayyor mahsulotlarni aniqlab, ularni amerikalik importyor va distribyutorlarga taqdim etishga kelishdik.

Maqsadimiz — muzokaralarni aniq savdo loyihalariga aylantirish.

🇺🇿🤝🇺🇸 Met with Kyle Matison, President of Matison International Export Import Company LLC, to discuss bringing Uzbek products to the U.S. market.

The company expressed interest in construction materials, aluminum, agricultural and food products. Our next step is to identify export-ready goods and introduce them to American importers and distributors.

Our goal is to turn this dialogue into concrete trade projects.

🌎🇺🇿 Endi Tashkent nomi Sietl markazida faxr bilan o‘z yo‘nalishini ko‘rsatib turibdi!

Lake Union Park’da o‘rnatilgan yangi Sietlning birodar shaharlari yo‘l ko‘rsatkichi to‘rt qit’adagi 20 ta birodar shaharlarini bir nuqtada birlashtiruvchi ramziy belgi bo‘ldi.

Ular orasida Toshkent alohida o‘rin tutadi. Sietl va Toshkent 1973-yildan buyon birodarlashgan shaharlar bo‘lib, bu hamkorlik AQSh shahri bilan sobiq Sovet Ittifoqi hududidagi shahar o‘rtasidagi ilk sister-city aloqasi sifatida tarixga kirgan.

Bir-biridan 10 ming kilometrdan ortiq masofada joylashgan Sietl Toshkentning eng uzoq birodarlashgan shahri hisoblanadi. Shunga qaramay, yarim asrdan ortiq vaqt davomida xalqlarimiz do‘stlik, madaniyat, ta’lim va insonlar o‘rtasidagi aloqalar orqali bir-biriga yanada yaqinlashib kelmoqda.

Bugun, O‘zbekistonning Sietlda Bosh konsulxonasi faoliyat boshlagan bir paytda, ushbu tarixiy aloqalarga yangi sur’at berish va 50 yildan ortiq do‘stlikni ta’lim, madaniyat, texnologiya, biznes va innovatsiyalar sohalaridagi yangi hamkorlik loyihalariga aylantirish uchun ajoyib imkoniyat mavjud.

Wonderful to see the newly installed Seattle Sister Cities Signpost celebrated at Lake Union Park, bringing together Seattle’s 20 sister cities from across four continents.

Among them, Tashkent holds a very special place. Seattle and Tashkent have been sister cities since 1973, creating the first sister-city partnership between a U.S. city and a city of the former Soviet Union.

More than 6,000 miles apart, Seattle is Tashkent’s farthest sister city — yet for more than half a century, our people have continued to build bridges through friendship, culture, education and people-to-people exchanges.

Today, as Uzbekistan establishes its Consulate General in Seattle, we have a wonderful opportunity to give this historic relationship new energy and turn more than 50 years of friendship into new partnerships in education, culture, technology, business and innovation.

Very happy to see Tashkent on Seattle’s signpost to the world — and even more excited about where this friendship will lead us next.
