Today, Commandant of the Marine Corps and I visited I Marine Expeditionary Force and spoke with Marines and Sailors to discuss the importance of being fit in mind, body, and soul.

I want warriors, not wokesters."

Pete Hegseth tells Air Force Academy cadets what President Trump said when he offered him the job.

I am directing all commanders and supervisors at every level to conduct a one-day stand-down in the month of October.

Every warrior will be given the opportunity to vote.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth accused the "fake news" media of overlooking what he said are falling military sexual-assault and su***de rates, as well as rising Black and female recruitment.
He said the force is "more ready and more lethal" while dismissing reports on deployment lengths and troop morale as false or adversarial propaganda.

"Pete Hegseth is an unqualified frat boy."

Retired Brigadier General Leela Gray served 30 years in the U.S. Army. She deployed three times and commanded at the company, battalion, and brigade levels. She knows the difference between leading and performing.

"You don't just give orders and things magically happen. You actually bring teams together to solve problems."

That's what service teaches you, and it's what's missing in Washington right now.

We're tired of leaders who've never actually led anything. We want leaders who solve problems and work across the aisle to get real results. Servant leaders like Leela fighting to flip FL-13.

Keep preparing. Your day will come.

Preparation and effort are the great equalizers. They're the two things you can control, regardless of the circumstances. That's why leaders in the Ranger Regiment create demanding, realistic training. It's why embrace the repetition that builds mastery. It's why everyone commits to the work long before it matters. Because when your moment arrives, preparation and effort are the only things you can fall back on.

Sen TimKaine: The Trump administration's "Department of War" must return to its diplomatic approach as the Department of Defense.

newpoliticsofficial Nancy Lacore served for 35 years, rising from helicopter pilot to three-star Admiral and Chief of Navy Reserve.

Then Pete Hegseth fired her without cause.

Now Hegseth's allies are lying about her record to keep her out of Congress.

They're scared of a servant leader who refuses to sit on the sidelines while Trump's corruption goes unchecked.

The Lowcountry deserves a fighter who shows up, and Nancy has never backed down from a fight.

The Air Force has spent the last year building up a new system to defend bases from drones and missiles, testing everything from artificial intelligence-powered detection systems to electronic warfare and kinetic weapons designed to physically knock drones out of the sky.

Now the service intends to dedicate airmen whose primary responsibility will be defending bases against aerial attacks.

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Ken Wilsbach announced Monday that a new point-defense career field will be operational within two years, part of an effort to turn installation defense from what he called a “side hustle” into a core Air Force mission.

Point defense refers to protecting a specific location, such as an air base, from incoming threats rather than defending a larger region or airspace.

The announcement follows more than a year of Air Force experimentation with new counter-drone units, weapons and tactics.

The Air Force told Task & Purpose that it is still working to formalize the career path for the new point-defense airmen and had no additional details about the specialty. The service did not say whether it will include enlisted airmen, officers, or both, whether current airmen will be eligible to retrain into it, or which weapons and systems they will operate.
