On Sunday May 31st around 2116 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department and the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department to Stanton Meadows for a dumpster fire near buildings 19 and 21. Law enforcement arrived first and dumped two Fire extinguishers which helped to knock the flames down. Seneca Falls 1461, 1463, 1464, 1465, Engine 1 and Engine 3 responded. Once on scene Engine 1 deployed its trash line and firefighters extinguished the remainder of the fire. All units were clear from the scene by 2145 hrs.

On Sunday May 10th at 1700 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Town of Seneca Falls Fire Department, the Seneca Falls Police Department, the Fayette Vol Fire Dept , the Waterloo Fire Department, the Geneva Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to an address on Chapel Street for the reported structure fire. While enroute 1462 received a phone call from a member reporting garage on fire not the house. Seneca Falls PD on location right after confirming smoke coming from the garage. Seneca Falls Engine 3 was first due and grabbed the hydrant at the corner of Rumsey Street and Chapel St. The crew from Engine 3 pulled an 1 3/4 line and stretched it up the driveway to the garage. Crews from Quint 1 and Engine 1 assisted with removing the garage door as there were no other doors on the structure. Once inside heavy smoke was encountered with the engine compartment of the car on fire. Mutual aid companies were arriving at the same time providing additional manpower if needed. Fire was under control shortly after gaining access to the garage. Command released Fayette and Geneva at this time. Waterloo Fire provided standby Engine at the Seneca Falls Station while additional overhaul was done and an investigation was conducted. Vehicle was removed from the scene and all units were back in service by 1800 hrs. Units on scene from Seneca Falls was 1461, 1462, 1463, 1465, Engine 1, Engine 3, Quint 1, Rescue 51, and Rescue 52.

On Thursday April 30th 2026 around 1335 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department and the Seneca Falls Fire Department to the Northeast College of Health Sciences on Route 89 for a Fire Alarm Activation. Shortly after, a call back to the 911 center from the alarm company, reported smoke inside Academic Building 2. Assistant Chief Larsen (1463) called enroute and had dispatch activate our automatic mutual aid which consisted of Fayette Vol Fire Dept , Waterloo Fire Department, Geneva Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance. District Chief Farnsworth (1461) called enroute from the Town of Aurelius as the mutual aid departments were being activated. Due to the shortage of daytime manpower 1461 had Canoga and Tyre activated for interior personnel to the scene. Engine 1403 and Rescue 51 responded for Seneca Falls. 1463 arrived on scene and reported a one story health center with smoke showing. Units arrived on scene and went to work opening up walls to locate the source of the smoke. Fire was located inside the wall of the Northern part of the building. 1461 arrived on scene and assumed command while 1463 handled operations. At the 25 minute benchmark command placed the fire under control and started returning mutual aid departments. Waterloo was reassigned to standby at the Seneca Falls Station while an investigation was underway. The Seneca County Fire Investigation team and Code Enforcement was requested to the scene. Investigation determined the cause to be accidental in nature. All units back in service by 1500 hrs.

This evening the Seneca Falls Fire Department, the Fayette Fire Department, and the Waterloo Fire Department participated in a multi department drill at the Seneca Falls East Station located on Lower Lake Rd. Air pack personnel from each department participated in different evolutions in a smoke filled structure. Hose line advancement, radio communications, accountability, and search and rescue were some of the topics covered. On behalf of the SFFD excellent job by all and we appreciate everyone who was able to participate.

On Monday March 16th the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to Route 5 and Route 414 for the motor vehicle crash with injuries. Seneca Falls 1461, 1462, 1464, 1465, Engine 1, Engine 3, and Resue 52 all responded. Seneca Falls Fire units provided scene safety, cleanup, and hazard control. Assisting on scene included Waterloo PD, New York State Police , and NYS DOT. Units were back in service within an hour
