On Tuesday September 1st at 1601 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department , the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to a 1 vehicle mva on Auburn Rd in the area of Ace Automatics.
1461, 1462, 1464, 1465, Engine 1 and Rescue 52 responded along with 1 Ambulance from NSA. District Chief Farnsworth ( 1461 )arrived first reporting a pole partially snapped involving a box truck and an occupant sitting on the grass. NSA arrived and did a patient sign off. Seneca Falls Fire tended to a fluid issue and secured the battery on the box truck. Auburn Rd was shut down for a brief period for first responder safety. All units back in service within 45 minutes.

On Tuesday August 25th at 0747 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to Bauer Rd for the two vehicle crash with injuries. Deputy Chief Larsen responded and arrived within minutes from time of dispatch. North Seneca Ambulance responded with 1962 and 2 Ambulances. They also requested 1 Ambulance from Mercy EMS. Seneca Falls Engine 1 and Rescue 52 responded where they handled scene hazards, fluid cleanup, and prepared for a possible landing zone for air medical. Due to weather conditions no air medical with a short flight time were available therefore the landing zone wasn't needed. EMS transported the patients to hospitals. Seneca Falls units were clear by 0900 hrs.

This afternoon District Chief Farnsworth and Captain Piscitelli made a trip with Engine 3 to Mynderse Street to help support a local family who raise money in memory of Phil Luffman. This family raises money every year and donates it to help others. Thank you for the drinks and snacks. We appreciate it.

On Saturday August 15th the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department had the honor of assisting the Clyde Fire Department with their fireworks detail. While we were there we were also advised that we had won a couple things at their parade on Friday evening. Thank you Clyde Fire Department for having us at your parade and then allowing us to assist you with the fireworks detail. I'd also like to thank all the members who gave up their Friday and Saturday evenings to partake in the events.

Last night members trained on various things. Some members went down to the Cayuga Lake State Park to continue training on drafting and pump operations while other members remained at the station and went over aerial operations ensuring that the Quint is ready for any job it may be requested too. Thank you to the members who give up their Monday evenings to continously train and stay proficient on the daily tasks of the fire service.

On Saturday August 8th the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department held their annual summer picnic at the SMS. We had the honor of presenting John Nicandri with a certificate of appreciation for the many times he has fixed our small engine equipment. John goes above and beyond to make sure our small engine equipment is fixed in a timely fashion in case we need it for fire related emergencies. Thank you John for supporting our department. We also would like to thank the Fayette Vol Fire Dept for being on automatic dispatch yesterday so most of our members could enjoy our summer party. And a huge shout out to the staff at the SMS for the delicious food. Thank you all

These items are essential during these hot days when calls could range from structure fires to field fires. Keeping our members hydrated helps to ensure their safety so they may return home to their families at the end of each call.
