The 8:30 a.m. meeting was a challenge for not only me, but also my dog, Pickle! 🐶 My bloom energy drink helped for sure. We’re definitely night owls around here, especially since my full-time job usually has me working evening shifts.

This morning's meeting focused on organizing and planning grant applications for our town. There’s so much work that goes into these projects—from writing the applications to making sure we're ready to manage and see them through if funding is awarded. I’m constantly impressed by the dedicated people who put in so much time and effort to make our community better.

After the meeting, I met with Chief Snyder, who helped me with some computer work. As someone who is supposedly “so Gen Z,” it’s a little embarrassing to admit I needed the help! 😂

The rest of the day was filled with phone calls, conversations, and meetings. I checked in with Jeremy, talked with Missy, attended an evening meeting before work, and probably bothered more than half the departments in town along the way.
One thing is for sure: it’s pretty cool to be involved and working alongside so many great people who care about our community. ❤️

Some days are packed with meetings, phone calls, and problem-solving—but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Grateful to work alongside so many people who care deeply about our town and its future.

Between my meetings I was able to go for a nice long walk with my dog Pickle. I walked him, he walked his new tennis ball 🎾 🥰🤣

Today is officially 50 days until the 178th annual Convention Days: Unfinished Resolutions on July 17-19, 2026 – let the countdown begin! ⏳

Women’s Rights National Historical Park was thrilled to commission local Seneca County artist, Karen Haas, for this watercolor painting, which will also be used for the 2026 Convention Days poster image.

In the artist’s own words: “This watercolor painting is reflective of the passing of the fight for Women’s Rights from the first generation, here in Seneca Falls in the 1840s, through to today, a young girl just starting to understand how important this fight still is today. The Wesleyan Chapel overlooks the scene from outside, as the woman passes on the resolution paper to the young woman. [Karen Haas] hopes this painting is reflective of her hopes, dreams, and aspirations for herself, her daughter, and for women everywhere who simply want the freedom to choose how they live their lives, from beginning to end.”

Follow along as we countdown to the 2026 Convention Days: Unfinished Resolutions event and announce the featured speakers, community partners, ranger programs, and special weekend activities. 🌿 Fawn Season Reminder 🌿

This time of year, we get a lot of calls from kind-hearted folks who find fawns alone and worry they’ve been abandoned. But don’t worry — this is totally normal behavior for deer! 🦌

👉 Mother deer often leave their fawns hidden in tall grass or quiet areas for hours while they forage. The fawn’s stillness and lack of scent help keep it safe from predators. Unless the fawn is visibly injured, crying out, or in immediate danger, the best thing you can do is leave it be.

If you’re truly concerned, reach out to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for guidance. One of our amazing local partners is Red Barn Rescue & Rehabilitation — check out their work and give them a follow on Facebook! 💚

Thank you for caring about our wildlife — and for giving nature a chance to do its thing! 🌾

Honored to have spoke and heard so many amazing speakers today.

“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of s*x" - directly from the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).

“As a woman born & raised in the birthplace of Women’s Rights this event feels extra special; not only is our town historic for declaring that "all men and women are created equal," but also for witnessing the birth of the Equal Rights Amendment 103 years ago.

I am one of the youngest elected officials in New York State & my campaign slogan was “it’s cool to care” this applies to all of us in this room. It’s cool to care isn’t just a slogan; it’s how we make things better. We make things better by being involved, having hard conversations & showing up for one another. As Americans, today we show we care by commemorating and advocating for the Equal Rights Amendment, and by continuing the fight for the things it represents.

So here’s to the ERA- Equality of Rights shall not be denied by any state on account of s*x. Thank you”

Most of these photos were taken by my Aunt Lisa- special shout out to her for always showing up for me! 🫶
