ICYMI: Thank you SSG Teasdale, for your sacrifice and leadership. Your commitment, courage, and contributions have strengthened our organization and inspired us all.

It's time for another ! Today the is on Staff Sgt. Seth Teasdale from the 408th Contracting Support Brigade, where he is the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for Support Operations (SPO) within the Theater Contracting Center-Southwest Asia (TCC-SWA). In this essential role, he is responsible for the integration and coordination of contract support within the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) area of responsibility. One of his biggest accomplishments thus far has been fulfilling his contract specialist duties on a high-priority contract for the Logistics Support Area (LSA) Jenkins at the Port of Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. He collaborated effectively with the requiring activity, the 1ST Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) Operational Contract Support (OCS) team, 1TSC G8, the contracting officer representative, and the contractor to ensure all operational requirements were met. His diligent efforts were crucial in ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of essential services for warfighters, including catered meals, base life support, and petroleum, valued at over $1.8 million. SSG Teasdale’s attention to detail and extensive experience played a key role in executing these urgent contractual obligations within a tight time-frame, significantly contributing to the operational readiness and welfare of deployed personnel.

ICYMI: We are grateful for our DCMA folks that deploy to support our organization! Thank you for your service and your contribution to the 408th!

Today's is Wayne Sylve, a DCMA-Houston employee forward-deployed with the 408th Contracting Support Brigade. Sylve is an industrial property management specialist, responsible for overseeing the management, accountability, and contract compliance of government-furnished property and contractor-acquired property in the possession of defense contractors. He says that being forward-deployed allows him to directly engage with contractors, identify risks, and ensure proper stewardship of government property in real-time. He appreciates that his role is not just about compliance — it’s about protecting resources, supporting readiness, and making sure everything gets where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. He says it is an honor to continue serving in this capacity and bring both his military and civilian expertise to the mission.

ICYMI: Thank you SSG Chukwu for your support and commitment to strengthening the 408th. NCO's are the backbone of the Army!

It's time for another feature and this week the is on Staff Sgt. Abigail Chukwu from the 408th Contracting Support Brigade! SSG Chukwu serves as a contracting NCO for RCC-KU, providing operational contract support for tenant units of Camp Arifjan and the CENTCOM mission. She executes acquisition planning, market research, solicitation, negotiation, contract award, and administration. SSG Chukwu is also the Postal Officer for RCC-KU and leads a study group for the DoD Contracting Professional Certification Exam. She says that beyond her contracting duties, her most significant accomplishment was serving as the postal officer during the 12-day CAKU exercises, where she coordinated with the military post office to ensure uninterrupted mail delivery directly boosting soldier morale and supporting operational readiness. She also identified a gap in professional development and led a three-month acquisition study program, resulting in six team members earning their certified acquisition professional certifications in one month. This experience highlights her ability to balance mission critical logistics with long-term talent development, enhancing overall unit capability. ACC is proud to have SSG Chukwu as part of the !
