U.S. Army Central provides continuous oversight and control of U.S. Army operations throughout the U.S. Central Command area of operations, while building and maintaining U.S. military partnerships with nations in the Greater Levant, the Arabian Peninsula, and Central and South Asia.
Our lineage goes back to the Third U.S. Army, established on November 7, 1918, during the first World War. It was during WWII that Third Army gained true notoriety, becoming the spearhead U.S. force against Germany under the leadership of the hard-charging General George S. Patton, Jr.
