New commander, who dis? 📱

It’s Lt. Col. Douglas Kottraba! 👏

Col. Landon Quan presided over the 11th ATKS change of command ceremony where Kottraba assumed command from Lt. Col. Nathaniel Dull! Dull was presented a Meritorious Service Award before receiving his final salute from the squadron. 🫡

Although Kottraba received his first salute as the new commander, he’s not new to leading within the unit! Before assuming command, Kottraba served as the 11th ATKS director of operations. 💪

The 11th ATKS was the first unit to operate remotely piloted aircraft for the Air Force, now assigned to the 25th ATKW, they provide support with conventional MQ-9 operations for the U.S. Air Force across the globe. 🔱

Presenting our newest winner, Senior Airman Alhaji Sow from the 25th Maintenance Squadron!

Sow has been shadowing as a Combat Munitions Training Instructor, sharpening his expertise in munitions safety and boosting unit readiness. Sow is also nearing completion of an Associate’s degree in Munitions Systems while simultaneously enrolled in a Cybersecurity degree program!

The crushed a first-ever training event by successfully launching an MQ-9 Reaper during a simulated scenario all while operating in full MOPP gear…talk about next-level readiness! 🚀

This wasn’t your average training day. Airmen suited up in full gear and proved they can still get the mission done under adverse conditions in contested environments. The result? Stronger readiness, sharper skills, and a squadron ready to operate anytime, anywhere - no matter the environment.

Maj. Gen. Steven Behmer and Command Chief Master Sgt. Nikki Drago, 15th Air Force commander and command chief, visited Shaw Air Force Base to meet with from the 25th Attack Wing's headquarters where they learned about the U.S. Air Force’s sole conventional MQ-9 wing and recognized some of the unit's top performers.

Our members highlighted how the wing uniquely supports 10 squadrons in 4 geographically separated locations while simultaneously supporting combatant commands across the world. Whether it's providing crucial intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, to executing precision strikes or performing combat search and rescue, the will be Deliberately Ready, Relentlessly Execute, Connect & Integrate and Forge the Future 🔱
