Thank you so much to the individuals who attended my town hall last night at Monticello library.

Proof that things never go the way we might expect, at one point there were 6 or 7 residents sitting around a table talking about Shawnee's unique history - especially out west. While informative and fascinating - it also led to a discussion around potentially bringing more local history to students in the area and how to pitch or accomplish that. Special thank you to Vince Garrett for all the background and history. I think most od us learned that the past of the area has very much shaped where we are today.

I also changed the format a bit and had a slide deck of current projects in Shawnee, things Ive been up to as your representative, and future goals or projects. My audience made it delightfully interactive and helped build or expand on some of the things I presented, which I very much appreciated.

All in all, I think it was one of my favorite events Ive been involved in as a city council member. Thank you!

I was honored to be asked to help judge at the Dog Days Shawnee in Shawnee Town 1929 last weekend. My husband and I had an absolute blast - dog owners are truly an amazing group of people to hang out with. Did you know Shawnee Parks and Rec also does a K9s at the Cove at the end of summer where dogs can go play in Splash Cove??

While judging the dog contests I met so many amazing owners and their fantastic dogs. It was REALLY hard to pick for each category, I wish I could have picked top 10 for each instead of just 2. And the prizes put up by sponsors and the city were TOP NOTCH. Im so proud to live and work in such an amazing city and truly grateful for the opportunity to serve it.
