Cleveland County NC Democratic Party

Cleveland County NC Democratic Party The official website of the Cleveland County Democratic Party (North Carolina) For over 200 years, Democrats have stood for the idea that wealth and status should not be an entitlement to rule.

Democrats recognize that our country and our economy are strongest when they provide opportunity for all Americans—when we grow our country from the bottom up. Democrats stand for an abiding faith in the judgment of hardworking American families, and a commitment to helping the excluded, the disenfranchised and the poor strengthen our nation by earning themselves a piece of the American Dream. We remember that our country was sculpted by immigrants and slaves, their children and grandchildren. Even today, it is our diversity above all else that provides us with our enduring strength. Democrats believe that each of us has an obligation to each other, to our neighbors and our communities. Each of us has a role to play in creating our future—and while we have made great progress as a nation, we know that our work is never done.

Mission: Support the purposes and principles of the Democratic Party. Encourage qualified Democrats to run for public office and actively promote and support the party's slate of candidates in general elections. Win elections! Work to create public understanding of what we seek to achieve and foster goodwill toward the party. Actively recruit and engage Cleveland County Democrats in the organization and activities of our party. .

I just gave to Democratic Party of Georgia - Federal Account!

Amy Morton, a Democratic friend of many years, is tuned in to and active in Georgia politics. Here is an excerpt from one of her recent posts:

“While Georgia Republican leaders have been busy with their circular firing squad today, something else is happening.”

“Friends near and far are contacting me, asking what they can do to help Ossoff and Warnock win. I have been through a senate runoff in Georgia where there was a lot on the line. This has not happened before. People are lifted, empowered and ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work.”

“We’re going to win.”

When asked how we Cleveland County Dems can help, Amy responded, “If you can give money, here’s the best place:
https://secure.actblue.com/donate/victory2020-fed?refcode=gademweb&recurring=1”

She stated that she would get back in touch with us soon as more opportunities for us to help are made known.

Fellow Dems, let’s dig in for one more big push. These two momentous races will determine whether Mitch McConnell is the Senate Majority Leader or not. Enough said. If you’re able to give, please do. Either way, please share this information with your like-minded friends and groups. Let’s do our part to help win these two senate seats.

Thank you.

VOTE EARLY
Here’s why, Cleveland County residents:
1) You may register AND vote same day during Early Voting, today through Saturday, Oct. 31.
2) If you are not already registered, you will not be allowed to vote on Election Day, Nov. 3.
3) Lines of voters at Early Voting have been moving quickly in Cleveland County.
4) Conveniently, you may vote at any of our four Early Voting sites. On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned voting site.
5) Don’t wait until the last day. Something could go wrong that would prevent you from voting. Ensure that doesn’t happen by voting as soon as possible. Be certain your vote will be counted.

If anyone needs transportation to the polls on Tuesday. Please contact me.
We must increase our profile within this county. We should start setting up and working for the next election as soon as this is done. We must identify and engage community leaders, and young people from all walks. We must establish common equitable goals within our communities, we must unite as people with different backgrounds for common success. We must begin now, not a year and a half from now. Too little too late is no longer good enough.
Can you tell me in which school district candidates for the school board reside?
Can anyone tell me how absentee/mail-in votes are tabulated in NC? Do they tabulate the votes as they come in or wait until after election day? I have my absentee ballot but have not turned it in yet, but I would feel comfortable voting in person during early voting if there is a better assurance of my vote being counted on time. Nothing I could find online specifically addresses this.
I want to see a Blue Tsunami this year at the polls. I've voted absentee ALL BLUE!!! 🙏😷😁✌️
Some excellent guidance from NC Attorney General Josh Stein if you're concerned that your mailed-in absentee ballot won't be received and counted. DO NOT follow President Trump's cockamamie advice to go down to your polling place attempt to vote twice in order to check.AG Stein says there are other ways to check, including the new neat NC online tracking system called Ballot Trax.
Do you have a physical location where we can pick up signs?
We need some large yard signs. I would rather pay the party than the sign manufactures. Plus, the volume buying will guarantee a better price.
Are there gonna be drop boxes around the county for absentee ballots? Does NC allow us to drop those off instead of mail them? 🙂
Excited to share that you can now pick up DWB materials including yard signs, bumper stickers, and buttons in Shelby!!!! (837 Earl St. Shelby, NC- near Walgreens on 74) Thank you so much Victor for helping make this possible!
During my campaign, I have not asked for money too often; I felt it was in bad taste during a time when so many have lost their jobs. My opponent, Tim Moore doesn’t have to ask for money as he is bankrolled by big money like Duke Energy. I will not be beholden to big-money donors. I will be asking for donations to buy stamps and social media advertising. Of course, I am asking for your vote on November third. I’d like for you to remember that I am working for people, not corporations
I am running against Tim Moore for the House of Representatives
