Shelbyville Mayor
Simpsonville Mayor
Shelby County School Board District 1
Shelby County School Board District 4

Location: Stratton Center, 215 Washington Street, Shelbyville, KY

📜 While the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, the famous engrossed parchment copy that now resides in the National Archives was signed by most of the delegates on August 2, 1776. A few delegates added their signatures in the weeks and months that followed.

The bold signature of John Hancock became legendary, but he wasn't alone—56 delegates ultimately signed the Declaration, pledging their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to the cause of American independence.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!🇺🇸What a blast! It was so much fun joining so many other patriots celebrating American’s 250 years of freedom at the 4th of July Shelbyville Independence Day Parade. 🇺🇸 We also celebrated with a float at the Mt. Eden Independence Day Parade - sorry no pictures. 🫤
Yesterday, we celebrated the farmers who feed us, the families who built this nation, the small towns that still embody its heart, those who boldly stand beside her with determination, and the countless Americans who have sacrificed to preserve our freedoms.
May we never take for granted the blessings God has poured out on this great nation.
