Shield of Roses - Christendom College Shield of Roses is a student-run prolife club on Christendom College's campus in Front Royal, Virgin

Since 1977, Shield of Roses members have prayed and sidewalk counseled outside of abortion clinics in Falls Church and downtown D.C. every Saturday morning of the academic year, regardless of rain, snow, or shine. Over the last 12 years, Shield has concentrated its ministry on the Planned Parenthood located just north of the White House, on 16th Street NW. Shield has broadened its efforts to reach

out to the escorts present. Aside from Saturday morning ministry, Shield members spread education and enthusiasm on Christendom's campus, encouraging students to be more active in the prolife movement. Shield of Roses has also sponsored a Spiritual Adoption ministry on campus. Members also make themselves present at prolife events in the D.C. area, networking with businessmen and dignitaries, and volunteering at various events. Hey guys! So Megashield is on Saturday, April 6th and is going to be BIG this year. Bishop Burbidge personally invited Christendom to a diocesan pro-life mass and prayerful protest at an abortion clinic in Alexandria, so we need a good showing!! I also recently found out that the diocese has even offered a charter bus for us, but only if we get people to sign up by TOMORROW! (faculty, staff, and anyone in the Christendom community is welcome as well!!). So please either message me or email me at [email protected] if you can come. It will be an amazing day!!

PRO-LIFERS!!!! Okay, this is it, our last Shield of Roses for the semester! It is this Saturday, December 3rd! Please come out everyone! Take one last huge stand for life before we are all bogged down with finals and the semester is over. We will leave after the 730 am mass and breakfast will be provided! Invite your friends! And if you haven't gone at all this semester, you need to go now! Everyone should go at least once a semester!!!

Hey Pro-Lifers!!!! After a much-needed fall break, Shield of Roses is back at it this Saturday (10/29)! Come out and join us to continue praying/counseling outside the Silver Springs Planned Parenthood. We leave after 730am mass and return by 1230pm. Donuts, coffee, and breakfast are provided! No signs up necessary!!!!!
