Shield of Roses - Christendom College Shield of Roses is a student-run prolife club on Christendom College's campus in Front Royal, Virgin

Since 1977, Shield of Roses members have prayed and sidewalk counseled outside of abortion clinics in Falls Church and downtown D.C. every Saturday morning of the academic year, regardless of rain, snow, or shine. Over the last 12 years, Shield has concentrated its ministry on the Planned Parenthood located just north of the White House, on 16th Street NW. Shield has broadened its efforts to reach

out to the escorts present. Aside from Saturday morning ministry, Shield members spread education and enthusiasm on Christendom's campus, encouraging students to be more active in the prolife movement. Shield of Roses has also sponsored a Spiritual Adoption ministry on campus. Members also make themselves present at prolife events in the D.C. area, networking with businessmen and dignitaries, and volunteering at various events.
