In 2014, we were proud to announce our co-sponsors, the Rancho Simi Recreation and Parks District for a very special event. We brought the AV Memorial Wall to Simi Valley from May 22 through May 27, 2014 for a 24/7 vigil open to the public. The AV Wall is a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington. This Memorial was placed near the Veterans Plaza at the Rancho Tapo Community Park, facing the fountains. Email: [email protected]

For The Troops
Seventh Annual Military Tribute Gala
Honoring Our World War II and Korean War Veterans

For The Troops (FTT) will host its seventh annual Military Tribute Gala, featuring our World War II and Korean War veterans and honoring all veterans at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, CA, Saturday, February 23, 2019 beginning at 5:30 p.m. A lively and unforgettable evening of entertainment, dinner, live and silent auctions will raise funds to continue to support our overseas active duty military. The gala is chaired by local real estate agent and community volunteer Rosemary Allison.

For The Troops is dedicated to providing members of the American military with “We Care” packages containing basic personal necessities, nonperishable food items, games and—most of all—a show of support. To date over 207,000 “We Care” packages have been shipped to our deployed military. Shipping fees run over $30,000 monthly, so in addition to the gala, FTT hosts a golf tournament in July to raise funds.

To purchase tickets for the “dressy” event, sponsor a veteran, donate items or provide names of deployed military personnel, please visit our website at www.ForTheTroops.org, or call (805) 306-0830. The gala is nearing sell-out, so don’t hesitate to purchase your tickets or sponsorship.

For The Troops is an all-volunteer, nonprofit corporation, co-founded in 2006 by Santa Rosa Valley’s Paula Cornell and headquartered at 2960 Cochran Street, Simi Valley, CA. Five days a week, up to 40 volunteers pack and ship approximately 1,800 packages a month. Donations can be made to For The Troops, P.O. Box 12, Simi Valley, CA 93062 or through our website.
