Simpsonville friends, be sure to check out this month’s Simpsonville Neighbors magazine and read the feature on the beautiful mural painted by local artist Lucas Peterson for Center for Community Services!

We are honored to have this incredible piece of art greet everyone who walks through our doors. Not only is it visually stunning, but it also captures the heart of our mission—serving our neighbors with compassion, dignity, and hope.

We are so grateful to Lucas for creating a mural that so beautifully reflects the work being done every day at CCS and the community we are privileged to serve. ❤️

The mural was highlighted as part of CCS’s mission-focused artwork by Lucas Peterson.

🌱 Fresh from the CCS Garden🌱

This week’s harvest included kale, green beans, snap peas, and zucchini — all grown right here on our campus and helping support our mission of serving neighbors in need.

A special thank you to Tim, one of our amazing volunteers, for the countless hours he dedicates to maintaining our garden and campus. His hard work and passion make a tremendous difference!

Do you have skills, talents, or passions you’d like to share with our agency? Whether it’s gardening, organizing, maintenance, or something else entirely, we’d love to have you join our volunteer team.

We are incredibly grateful for businesses like CompX National that continue to invest in our community and demonstrate what it means to be neighbors helping neighbors.

The Center for Community Services would love to be a recipient of your VBS mission project or food drive! Our pantry is always in need of our most requested food items to help local families in need throughout the Golden Strip community.

Want to include a hands-on mission activity during VBS? We also have service projects with items that can be pre-packed by children and volunteers during your week of VBS!

For more information, please contact Lisa Atwood at [email protected] or visit our website at centercs.com to view our most needed items list.

Lucas, local high school student, shared his talent with our agency. He painted a mural on the lobby wall of Building 7 that captured the Center for Community Services mission.
