New South Dakota Black Consumer Advisory Launches to Champion Consumer Rights and Economic Equity
Sioux Falls, SD – 2/17/2025 – The South Dakota Black Consumer Advisory (SDBCA) proudly announces its official launch as an independent, statewide organization advocating for the economic empowerment of Black consumers and their allies. With a focus on consumer justice, financial literacy, and business equity, SDBCA aims to drive systemic change and foster economic opportunity throughout South Dakota.
A Voice for Black Consumers and Their Allies
SDBCA was founded to address disparities in the marketplace and promote fairness for Black consumers and their allies. Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, the organization seeks to ensure equitable access to financial services, housing, and business opportunities across the state.
Key Areas of Focus:
Consumer Advocacy: Addressing discriminatory practices in lending, housing, and business operations.
Financial Literacy: Offering workshops on budgeting, credit repair, and homeownership.
Black-Owned Business Support: Promoting and mentoring Black entrepreneurs across South Dakota.
Community Collaboration: Partnering with local organizations to advance equitable consumer policies.
