Another worthwhile service coming to our community.

Need a defective or missing car light replaced? Get it fixed for free! Join the Cook County Sheriff's Office (Official) for their Lightsaver program on Thursday July 30th from 9AM - 12PM at 6001 Oakton St, Skokie, IL 60077. This free community event will provide external car light repairs, along with electronics recycling, prescription drug take-back services, and secure document shredding.

🚨 AIR QUALITY ALERT 🚨

Due to today's very unhealthy air quality, the Glenview Police Department is once again asking everyone to postpone all criminal activity.

We know... yesterday it was the heat. Today it's the air. At this point, Mother Nature has officially become our newest crime prevention officer.

That means:
❌ No jogging.
❌ No yard work.
❌ No committing crimes.

We're pretty sure sprinting from the police counts as "strenuous outdoor activity," and today's forecast says that's a terrible idea.

Instead, we encourage you to:
🏠 Stay inside.
🌬️ Keep your windows closed.
🎮 Beat that video game you've been playing.
😴 Perfect the art of doing absolutely nothing.
🍉Eat another popsicle

Our officers will still be out answering calls and keeping Glenview safe, but we'd appreciate it if everyone could help us out by staying home and avoiding anything that ends with "...and then the police showed up."

The air outside is already making bad decisions. Let's not add yours to the list. Stay safe, Glenview. We'll take care of the outdoors today.
