Unlike Eastern Tennessee with their beloved Dolly Parton Eastern Kentucky really hasn't had any celebrities jump in and try to boost it like or to the level and extent Miss Parton has done for the Eastern portion of her home state (Tennessee) Now no one expects or necessarily desires it reach even half of that level like Piegon Forge, Gatlinburg or Sevierville Tennessee and the folks Red River Gorge would attract which is your nature lovers, and history lovers across the country wouldn't equal that. So i say no worries to those who are fearful of it turning into something like that anytime soon. Lol.. If that was even possible for it to reach half that kind of level i predict that would take more then 50 or 60 years and most of us living today would be long gone. Yet we have this truly beautiful and unique place in Eastern Kentucky "Red River Gorge" the United States Government (Congress) could declare a National Park. Red River Gorge is certainly deserving of that title, that funding and that protection and it seems to pretty much meet the criteria. Such a declaration could certainly help Eastern Kentucky where their is few jobs and where some of the small mountain towns truly struggle. We are talking towns like Stanton and Bettyville and other nearby towns to the Gorge. Red River Gorge Its certainly one of the best and most beautiful parts of the Bluegrass State (Kentucky). Write and contact Kentucky Senators like Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell and ask them to move this and Reach out to our United States Representatives in the House that Represent Kentucky regarding this.
