Vendors, discounts, quilt raffle, tour. Airing of the quilts is based on an old pioneer tradition. Quilts were treasured possessions, essential for long winter nights. After much wear and tear the ladies would "air" their quilts in the sunshine. Come join us in celebrating the innovative spirit of the women who created this cultural heritage. owntown Smithville. Some quilts on display will be for sale. Admission is free to the Airing of the Quilts. For more details, call 512-237-2313.
