The US National Weather Service Anchorage Alaska has issued a wind advisory from 1:00 AM to noon on Thursday with the greatest anticipated impacts being along Cook Inlet beaches from the Kenai River to Nikiski. Sustained winds of 15 to 30 MPH gusting between 35 to 50 MPH is expected with waves potentially reaching 8 to 12 feet.

The US National Weather Service Anchorage Alaska has issued a flood warning for Seward until 10 AM Tuesday. Expect low lying areas and roads to be impacted. Use caution when traveling the area.

A Flood Warning is in effect for Seward through 10 AM AKDT Tuesday. Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Water levels will crest Monday morning through Monday afternoon, then quickly begin to fall Monday night through Tuesday.

Alaska DNR - Division of Forestry & Fire Protection - DFFP and Central Emergency Services are responding to the Martha Fire ( #344) in the Mackey Lake area. No evacuations are anticipated. Expect increased traffic and equipment in the area as responders work on containment.

The sale or discharge of fireworks is prohibited within the Kenai Peninsula Borough. This is a critical reminder when dry conditions are present across the landscape.

The only exception is for public displays controlled and coordinated by a municipality or an approved, licensed organization.
