The Somersworth Community Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Candidate Forum for the Republicans and Democratics running for State Representative on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at City Hall, in Council Chambers.

We need every voter to turn out at the State Primary on Sept. 8!

In this election, we'll select the local state reps who will represent us in Concord, as well as the next members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate who will represent us in Washington D.C.

Here's how you can help local Democrats WIN!

- Check in with friends, family and neighbors: When and how will they be voting? Do they know who the candidates are?
- Check your voter registration status, find your polling location or view a sample ballot. Note: Check which ward you're in, as some information has changed. If you live in Ward 5 in Somersworth, your polling location has moved from the Romeo J. Messier Building to Charpentier Apartments.
- SIGN UP TO HELP US KNOCK DOORS FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKENDS (Pick a day and don't be scared - we'll pair you with a pro or have you drive!)
- SIGN UP TO HOLD SIGNS IN ROLLINSFORD AND SOMERSWORTH ON ELECTION DAY (two-hour slots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Email us to request your candidate's yard sign or stop by the Strafford County Democratic Committee's office at 1 Old Dover Road, Rochester, to grab one.

Hey Somersworth friends! Who's up for supporting LOCAL Democratic candidates during the VERY IMPORTANT PRIMARY ON TUESDAY, SEPT. 8?

Please stop waiting for someone else to do it. WE NEED YOU. This is your official invitation to:

1) Mark your calendar. Make a voting plan. Don't forget!

2) Volunteer to knock doors with and for the candidates! Our state representatives who live here in Somersworth and Rollinsford could use our support. We'll be going out on Saturday and Sunday, around 11 a.m. (if weather cooperates). Want to join? Maybe be a driver? Message us. Don't be scared - we'll show you the ropes and pair you with a pro. We also have other candidates' literature or can get it if there are other campaigns you'd like to support. Let's do this. Primaries are where real change happens. ♥️
