TONIGHT: Let's Do it Again! Let the MBTA Know We Don't Back Down!
Tonight Wednesday April 13 we need to FILL the High School Auditorium one more time.
Somerville has been waiting for decades for the MBTA and the State to build the Green Line as they are legally obligated to do.
They tell us they won't build it. They tell us it costs too much. They ask US to pay for it. They cut proposed stops. They strip down the proposed stations to nothing but a track.
What's NEXT?
Now they tell us The community path extension may be cut or scaled down from the Green Line Extension and Medford, Cambridge and Somerville are still being asked to contribute to the overall cost of the billion-dollar project, according to MBTA officials.
Somerville shocked the MBTA at a recent meeting by filling the Armory with lines of people outside waiting to get in.
We need to Fill the High School Auditorium Tonight and let them know that Somerville does not give up. We are strong and united.
Do you want the Green Line Extension for our community? Do you want the Community Path Extension? Tell them tonight.
