๐Ÿ’ Exciting news for Somerville Youth Hockey! ๐Ÿ’

We're incredibly proud to share that SYHA has been awarded a 2026 Tufts Community Grant! ๐ŸŽ‰

A huge thank you to Tufts University for investing in our community and believing in our mission. We're honored to be one of 40 local nonprofits selected this year as part of a record $200,000 awarded to organizations making a difference across our region.

This grant will help us continue growing girls hockey at SYHA by providing every girl on a travel team with:
๐Ÿ’ Girls-only clinics and development opportunities
โค๏ธ SYHA gear and swag
๐Ÿค More opportunities to build friendships, confidence, and a lifelong love of the game

This recognition belongs to our entire SYHA community. Thank you to every player, family, coach, volunteer, and supporter who gives their time and energy to make our organization so special.

The Twin City Titans battled hard last weekend in Lake Placid and brought home the SILVER ๐Ÿฅˆ

From the first puck drop to the final buzzer, this team showed grit, heart, and true sportsmanship.

Two amazing days with hundreds of people on the ice โ€” from 2-year-olds discovering hockey for the very first time to alumni battling it out in the round-robin tournament.

The weekend was packed with great moments: womenโ€™s games, scrimmages, 3v3 matchups, skills competitions for the kids, and a family skate. Off the ice, the community showed up just as strong with bake sales, raffles, and a fun party on Saturday night.

It was the perfect chance to come together, celebrate our love for hockey, and spend time with the amazing Somerville hockey community. ๐Ÿ’™

A huge thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who made the weekend possible. We couldnโ€™t do it without you!
