🌟 Gifted & Talented Referral Window is NOW OPEN! 🌟

Hardin-Jefferson ISD is accepting referrals for 1st–12th grade students for Gifted & Talented testing.

The window for fall testing closes January 31, 2026.
Kindergarten students are automatically screened in December and referred for further evaluation if needed.

The seventh annual GT Parent Conference, hosted by the Gifted Education Family Network and Baylor TIP, will be held in person this year at Lovejoy High School in DFW. The conference consists of informational sessions led by renowned educators, counselors, and parents. These sessions address critical issues in parenting gifted students, such as debunking common myths about gifted students, advocating for your child, accessing services, and more. In addition, you will have an opportunity to meet with parents of other gifted students and share experiences, learn from each other, and build relationships.

This year's keynote speaker will be Dr. Melanie Meyer, presenting a session titled "Helping Kids Flourish: Perspectives for Parents from Identity and Talent Development Research."
