Leyte Dragons!!!
The Family Day & Graduation festivities are right around the corner. Here is a quick reminder of the key details.
Tomorrow we'll post an Official Invitation as well as key tips and commonly asked questions to help you plan and better understand Family Day and Graduation.
As a brief reminder, both events are completely free. The Army will not request or require payment to attend or live stream the events. Parking and seating are free and first-come, first-served.
If you are unable to attend Graduation, it will be Live streamed here on this page. The ONLY other location it is officially streamed is the Fort Jackson main page. Please do not click other links as they are likely to be scams or fraud attempts.

Leyte Dragons, happy Tuesday!!!
Last week, over a thousand Soldiers-In-Training donned roughly 35 pound rucksacks and foot marched out to their respective company areas to conduct what's known as The Forge field training exercise.
While putting dozens of miles on their feet, they also dug fighting positions, conducted patrols to test their response, reacted to simulated enemy attacks, treated notional casualties, and tested their tactical memory. They slept underneath the stars, but on Wednesday night, instead of sleeping, they crawled under live machine gun fire to introduce them to the real sounds of the battlefield.
This week consists of cleaning, turning in certain equipment, and preparing for the Family and Graduation events next week.
As always, photos show Trainees from across the battalion, thanks to our volunteers. Don't click any links in the comments, and stay tuned for more information regarding Family and Graduation day!

The past week has been very eventful for your Soldiers-in-Training.
They've completed throwing Live Hand Grenades, their record Army Fitness Test, the End of Cycle Test, and Buddy Team Fire with live ammunition.
Here's a peek at what some of these events look like.
Wish them luck as they make final preparations for the toughest event yet, the 72-hr FORGE Field Training Exercise, which will include the Night Infiltration Course!

Leyte Dragons!
Last week your Soldiers-in-Training completed key White Phase events, to include Battle, March, and Shoot; Qualification; tougher Physical Training; and ultimately culminated in the 2-night Field Training Exercise known as the Anvil.
They've now advanced into Blue Phase! The training gets tougher and more realistic, building on the skills, tactics, and techniques they have learned thus far. The following week will see Buddy Team Fire, throwing live hand grenades, the record Army Fitness Test, and End of Cycle testing!
As always, a reminder that these photos are from volunteers. We cannot guarantee the photo of any specific trainee. These photos are available for free to use and share. Check back for more updates and photos!

Leyte Dragons!
Happy Sunday. This past week has been a busy one as Trainees finalized their weapons familiarization to become qualified on their assigned weapon, the M4 carbine. They also conducted Battle, March, and Shoot, a stress shoot designed to gauge their ability to effectively hit targets after completing a series of exercises. Tactics and Land Navigation instruction were also key learning events as the Battalion prepares to head into the Anvil 2-night Field Training Exercise.
