On Friday, April 3rd, the 76th Cadet Class graduated the West Virginia State Police Academy after 22 weeks of training. Today these 20 troopers enter the field training portion of their careers and begin their service to the citizens of West Virginia.
Congratulations Troopers.

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, Trooper E. K. Dickerson spent time meeting local residents and fingerprinting children at the annual Rhododendron Roll at the West Virginia State Capital.

Hard Hats and Heros event at the Mountain Health Arena in Huntington, WV. Sergeant Swope and Corporal Cooper were in attendance. Both troopers answered a lot of questions but more importantly made a lot of new friends.

Tomorrow, January 14th in Beckley and Friday, January 16th at the Academy are the last two test dates for the two week in-state lateral cadet class starting in April, and the Traditional Cadet class starting in June. Apply now at wvsp.gov

On Monday, January 5th, 2026, First Sergeant J. R. Wince and Trooper First Class M. H. Lovejoy attended the funeral services of Delaware State Police Corporal Matthew Snook, who was tragically killed in the line of duty.
