We are also assigning extra patrols to traffic enforcement in school areas. Watch out for children, watch your speed, don’t drive distracted, and pay attention to the bus stops. Be safe everyone!

Good morning . Meet Public Safety Dispatcher Ryan Fraley — a man who means the world to us here at the SWPD. Ryan has committed his life to public service. Prior to his employment with the SWPD, he was an EMT with the Ambulance Service of Manchester and a firefighter with Tunxis Hose Company 1 in Unionville. He's also a devoted son, brother, and uncle to three amazing girls.

This February, at just 37 years old, Ryan was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma with brain metastases. He's already endured two brain surgeries and is now undergoing immunotherapy, radiation, and steroid treatments. Despite his strength through it all, a new spinal tumor has taken away his ability to walk.

Now it's our turn to show up for Ryan the way he's shown up for our community. Please share his story, donate if you're able, and send him love and strength during this incredibly difficult fight.
