South Windsor heads back to school on Wednesday, August 26th. We'd like to remind our residents of some basic principles of school bus safety. Please drive slowly and watch for children entering and exiting the bus!

Along with ongoing school zone traffic safety enforcement, there will be an increased patrol and uniformed presence at our schools on the first few days in an effort to ensure a smooth transition back!

GREAT NEWS SOUTH WINDSOR!

I’m happy to see South Windsor receive more than $300,000 through Connecticut’s newly established High-Quality Special Education Incentive Grant Program.

I know how important it is to make sure our students with disabilities have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed right here at home.

This funding will help South Windsor Public Schools expand special education programming, make important capital improvements, and reduce reliance on costly out-of-district placements. That’s a win for our students, our families, and our entire community.

There is still more work to do to make sure South Windsor receives the state support our students deserve, but this is an important step forward.

Congratulations to our educators, staff, families—and most importantly, our students!

The SWRTC joins countless Americans in mourning the passing of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham.
