Summit Lake Paiute Tribe ​​The Summit Lake Reservation is the most remote Indian reservation in Nevada.

Located in the upper left hand corner of Nevada, the Reservation is 50 miles south of the Oregon border and 70 miles east of the California border.

NATIVE HEALTH’s Tribal Home Visiting Program is hosting Positive Indian Parenting (PIP)! These interactive sessions will be held VIRTUALLY on Thursday, September 3 and Friday, September 4, from 9 am-1 pm Phoenix time. Each session is designed to reconnect families with traditional teachings so that parents can apply cultural teachings to modern-day parenting challenges. Participants can enroll voluntarily or if needing to meet a court order requirement for a Parenting Class.

Residents of Washoe County and the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony who lost food purchased with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits due to the Bug and Stallion fires or related power outages may request replacement SNAP benefits.

The Natural Resources Department has developed draft Water Quality Standards for the Summit Lake Reservation to conserve Reservation waters through describing the desired conditions of the water bodies and the means by which those conditions will be protected or acheived. NRD is hosting 2 information sessions on August 6th and September 3rd, and a public hearing on September 16th. The written comment period is open from July 27th-September 23rd; written comments addressing the standards can be emailed to [email protected]. Oral comments will be received during the information sessions and public hearing. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions, would like information emailed directly to you, or if you would like to set up an individual meeting.

Family Resources: On-site help including free vaccinations, Medicaid providers, workforce development, financial literacy tools, and Elevating Families support.

All supplies and services are on a first-come, first-served basis.
