Today, we’re celebrating the birthday of legendary chef, author, and television personality Julia Child—and her own Junior League story! 👩‍🍳

Julia was a member of Junior League of Pasadena , where she put her creativity to work on children’s theater projects, acting in and writing plays.

From a Junior League volunteer to a culinary icon, Julia’s story is a beautiful reminder that the experiences we gain, the passions we discover, and the communities we serve can shape a life in ways we never expect.

Here’s to Julia Child—and to women who dare to try something new, follow their passions, and leave their mark on the world. ❤️

Friendship is at the heart of the Junior League of Spartanburg. It’s through shared purpose, meaningful connections, and a commitment to serving our community that strangers become teammates—and teammates become lifelong friends.
