It was a fun Saturday morning celebrating the official opening of The Course. See link in comments.

The economic impact this park will have on our community will be amazing and I look forward to our many events that are scheduled there in the coming months.

🐟 This is worth a few minutes of your time.

We are incredibly fortunate to live in a region shaped by our rivers, our natural resources, and the infrastructure that generations before us built.

But decisions involving our dams, salmon, energy, agriculture, transportation, and the environment are complicated—and they have very real consequences for Eastern Washington.

I was asked to share this video, “The Dams Are Killing the Fish,” and I think it raises a conversation worth having.

Whether you agree with everything in the video or not, I encourage you to watch it and then share your thoughts.

These issues shouldn’t be reduced to slogans or sound bites. We need to understand the tradeoffs, listen to different perspectives, and make decisions based on good information—especially when those decisions could affect our region for generations.

What do you think? What should our priorities be when it comes to protecting fish, maintaining reliable energy and infrastructure, and protecting the economy of Eastern Washington?

I’d genuinely like to hear from you in the comments.
