But we wouldn’t be able to do it without the help of our legislative aides Ginny and Andres who represent us and give the City Council updates during the meeting. 👏🏽👏🏽

Today, the Civil Service Commission unanimously passed this resolution which adds 5% to the passing exam scores of candidate’s who speak any language other than English!!

This is a great step toward equitable hiring practices in the City and building a workforce that can serve ALL residents in Spokane. If you are fluent in multiple languages, now is a great time to apply for a City job!

As a Spokane Immigrant, I want to reassure my community that I am working with various organizations on scheduling Know Your Rights workshops to prepare you with any unlawful encounter without a warrant.
