Spokane Domestic Violence Coalition

Spokane Domestic Violence Coalition Our Mission is to empower and educate our collective community to End The Violence. 💜 We ask all users to treat each other with respect.

Online Policy:
The Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition (Coalition) is committed to the elimination of domestic violence through collaboration and partnership with community agencies/entities made up from various sectors including law enforcement, government officials, victim advocacy groups, treatment providers, school representatives, and family and child-serving organizations, amongst o

thers. The Coalition is focused on preventing domestic violence; educating the general public and creating awareness about domestic violence; and continued community collaboration and coordination in eliminating domestic violence. Because we are a Coalition made up of many community stakeholders that are each governed by their own policies and procedures, there are certain topics we won’t be able or willing to talk about here, and some of your discussions may need to be redirected or curtailed for the same reason. To protect the safety and confidentiality of survivors, we will not engage in conversation about individual situations within a public forum. We want to hear from members of our community and encourage comments, critiques, questions, and suggestions. We ask that you simply stay on topic, respect other people’s opinions, avoid profanity and bullying, offensive statements, illegal content, and anything else that might otherwise violate our standard terms and conditions. Users may disagree with an idea; however, they must be respectful of others at all times. Insults, threats or harassment of other users, organizations or employees are prohibited. The Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition reserves the right to ban any user from our page without prior written notice or consent for violations of community policies. Any comment(s) posted which we deem to be criminal in nature, or instigates or implies violence toward oneself or another may be reported to the proper authorities.

Please consider becoming a donor and helping us expand our Court Watch Program!

Court Watch is a powerful initiative that brings community members into Domestic Violence Protection Order hearings as observers. By documenting what happens in the courtroom, we gain valuable insight into the experiences of victim-survivors and identify opportunities to improve support and access to justice.

Your support helps us strengthen this work and advocate for a court system that better serves survivors. Visit our website and click “Donate Now” to learn more about how you can help.
