There is no emergency or cause for concern.

The warning siren system consists of sirens located in the 10-mile radius around Limerick Clean Energy Center in Montgomery, Chester, and Berks counties. In a real event, the sirens are not a signal to evacuate, but a warning to tune to a local Emergency Alert Broadcast television or radio station.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Constellation will conduct its semi-annual full-volume test of the emergency warning sirens surrounding the Limerick Clean Energy Center on Monday, June 1, at 2:00 PM and again on Tuesday, June 2, at various times throughout the day.

Residents within the 10-mile Emergency Planning Zone, including portions of Chester, Montgomery, and Berks Counties, may hear the sirens during these scheduled tests.

This is only a test. There is no emergency and no action is required.

The emergency warning sirens are intended to alert the public to tune to local television and radio stations for official emergency information. In the event of an actual emergency, the sirens are not a signal to evacuate.

Spring City Borough Emergency Management encourages residents to stay informed and review emergency preparedness information for their household.
