My message is simple:
Lower our bills. Save our healthcare. Fund our schools.

And we can do all of this by reforming a tax system that asks working families to pay too much while the wealthiest get the biggest breaks. We can take on corporations that price gouge while posting record profits. And we can finally confront the dark money and corruption that have had far too much influence over our Statehouse.

What a great day at ARTfest on Main on Main 2026

It was so much fun seeing so many people out and about, and I had so many people came up just to say hello and thank me for running. One guy stopped me and said, “HEY! We met in my driveway while you were going door to door. Great to see you here!” 😂 That absolutely made my day.

From the awesome Dolly Parton chalk art to seeing Renee Westermeyer ‘s incredible artwork made with beeswax (which was seriously cool), there was so much creativity on display.

And a perfect way to wrap up the day after spending three hours knocking doors with Cara for Ohio beforehand down in Maineville and Loveland.

I’m incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus.

Their work is rooted in ensuring Black Ohioans have a fair opportunity to succeed and the principle behind that work is one I believe should apply to every child and every family in Ohio.

That’s why my campaign is focused on lowering the cost of living through property tax relief and more affordable childcare. It’s why I want to expand healthcare access by addressing Ohio’s medical debt crisis and fighting to ensure no Ohioan loses their Medicaid coverage. It’s why I want to strengthen our public schools by fully funding them and ensuring every child has access to at least two meals a day.

And it’s why I believe we need a fairer tax system. Working families shouldn't be asked to contribute a greater share of what they earn while those at the very top contribute a smaller share.

We can do these things.

That’s what representation means to me.

I’ll always fight fiercely for the people of House District 55. But the decisions we make in Columbus affect families in every corner of our state.

I want to help build an Ohio where opportunity isn't determined by your ZIP code, your income, or the color of your skin.

I’m deeply grateful to the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus for trusting me to be part of that work.

A huge THANK YOU to Bob and Debbie Tursini-Sharples for opening their home and hosting such an amazing house party in Carlisle last night, and for the incredible food!

House parties have quickly become one of my favorite parts of this campaign. There’s something special about getting people together in a room, people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, asking thoughtful questions, sharing their own ideas, and talking with one another about the issues that matter to our communities.

And a special shoutout to Cookies by Cassie for the awesome Blue Wave cookies! 🌊🍪 They were a huge hit.
