Tomorrow @ 12:00 pm the governor will deliver the combined Budget and State of the State Address to Illinois residents. House Republicans call for No New Taxes, No Tax Hikes, and a Responsible, Balanced Budget.

Current policies have our state facing a $3.2 billion budget deficit. We need legislative reforms to shift the direction of the state to grow the economy, reduce taxes, and cut wasteful spending. I hope the governor will work to deliver policies that the people want and deserve.

We were thrilled to deliver these cards to the American Legion and VFW here in Springfield to show we all care about our veterans and the community.

House Republicans have proposed numerous anti-corruption measures that could be enacted today to put the power back in the hands of Illinoisans, but the majority party refuses to get serious on ethics reform.

Illinois should move full steam ahead to enact ethics reforms and finally eradicate the culture of corruption that has plagued our state for far too long.

I'm happy to Co-Sponsor HR95 that holds the majority party accountable for their wasteful spending. This legislation puts a hard stop to NO NEW TAXES to balance the State Budget. We need to grow state revenue and cut spending to actually balance the budget. Overtaxing hard-working families is not the answer and it's creating a disaster.

The citizens of Illinois deserve action on the issues they face, not a political speech circus by the majority party who can’t accept the results of the November election and the new reality that Joe Biden is no longer the President of the United States.

While Republicans have sound solutions to address issues that matter the most, the majority party would rather drop (4) House Resolutions tonight that condemn President Trump and his vision for creating a stronger America.
